Nowadays Bollywood filmmakers are more inclined towards making sequels and remakes of old movies which is becoming annoying for the viewers.

Yesterday there was news that Ajay Devgan starrer Omkara 2006 is going to get another installment. Not only this, the sequel of Akshay Kumar and John Abraham’s Desi Boys is also coming. Fans are not happy with this announcement at all.

Producer Anand Padut announced via Twitter that both Omkara 2006 and Desi Boyz 2011 would be remade. “Excited to announce the remake of Omkara and the sequel to ‘Desi Boyz’! Stay tuned to witness the crazy fun! Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the news, he wrote.

Fans seemed quite impressed with this latest news and reacted to the announcement saying: “Omkara remake? After few days we can hear the remake of movies released 5 years ago.

Another fan wrote: “Bollywood ideas are completely gone.” Meanwhile, another wrote: “Why a remake of Omkara? Adapt another Shakespeare play.. or adapt an Indian play, even better. This project is doomed.”

The film Omkara was an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play Othello directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. It starred Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Bipasha Basu and Konkana Sen Sharma in lead roles.

On the other hand, Desi Boys was directed by Rohit Dhawan in 2011. The romantic comedy film starred Akshay Kumar, Chitrangada Singh, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in lead roles, reports JEE News.
