Sukkur: 6 Balochistan Police personnel were killed and 3 injured during the operation to recover the hostage in Jacobabad. However, the operation is ongoing and police reinforcements are being sent from nearby areas.
According to the police, Furqan Soomro was abducted from Awsta Muhammad Sindh on Tuesday, after which Jafarabad police of Balochistan took action.
The police took action after receiving information that the hostage was kept in Jagir area of Moladad police station in Jacobabad.
As soon as the police reached the place, the criminal gang attacked them, after which six policemen, including Inspector Tayyab Hussain Imrani, High Court Syed Khadim Ali Shah, Constable Syed Riaz Shah, Constable Mohammad Usman, Constable Abdul Wahab and Constable Nisar Ahmed. Included. – Terrorist Force (ATF), martyred while Altaf Hussain and Hussain Ali were seriously injured.
The exchange of fire was going on till the report was filed. Police assistance has been requested from Jafarabad, Aosta Muhammad and Jacobabad. The dead and injured policemen were shifted to Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences.
IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon asked DIG Larkana Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh to report on the encounter. He has also asked DIG Larkana to investigate whether Jafarabad police informed Jacobabad police about the operation or not.
