Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Saturday won the toss and elected to bat against England on the first day of the third and final Test at the National Stadium in Karachi.
England, on their first Test tour of Pakistan since 2005, have won the first match in Rawalpindi by 74 runs and the second in Multan by 26 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
The tourists made two changes from the last Test, replacing James Anderson and Will Jacks with wicketkeepers Ben Fowkes and Rehan Ahmed.
Rehan, aged 18 years and 126 days, became the youngest player to debut for England, beating Brian Close’s record of 18 years and 149 days set in 1949.
“It’s a very exciting time for me, for my family and for English cricket,” Ben Stokes said of the new player.
Senior Pakistan batsman Azhar Ali, who announced on Friday that the Karachi Test will be his last, is one of four changes to the home side.
Shaan Masood, Muhammad Wasim Jr and Nouman Ali have also come into the field while Imamul Haq (injured), Muhammad Nawaz, Zahid Mehmood and Muhammad Ali have been left out. 21-year-old Wasim is playing his first Test.
