The local administration of Karachi has released the traffic and parking plan for the seven-match T20I series between Pakistan and England, which will begin tomorrow (Tuesday).
The project, designed to ensure smooth traffic flow in Karachi, will be implemented during the four matches of the series which will be played from September 20 to 25 at the National Stadium in the port city.
Spectators arriving at the stadium from different parts of the city to watch the match have to follow the following parking arrangements:

Parking for spectators
Parking arrangements have been made at the Expo Center for fans coming to the National Stadium from different areas of Karachi. Original identity card and match tickets will be checked by security personnel.
Residents of central and western districts via Liaquatabad No. 10 and Hasan Square can park their cars and motorcycles at the Expo Center, from where they will be taken to the National Stadium by a shuttle service.
Similarly, the residents of New Karachi, Federal B Area, and Gulshan should park their vehicles at the mentioned place via Nipa. Residents of Eastern, Malir and Korangi districts will park their vehicles at the said location via Shaara Faisal Drug Road, Millennium Mall and Nipah. From there, they will be taken to the National Stadium by a shuttle service.
Residents of District South, City, Shaara Faisal or People’s Chowrangi can park their cars and motorcycles at the Expo Center via Jail Road. From there they will be taken to the stadium by shuttle service.
Parking for media personnel
National Coaching Center (China Ground) has been allocated for parking of media personnel. Those coming from Karsaz via Habib Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road and Stadium Flyover will park their vehicles at the said place.
Meanwhile, media personnel coming from Millennium Mall will have to go to Pir Sibghatullah Road and then reach Sir Sher Shah Sulaiman Road via Stadium Flyover to reach the National Coaching Centre.
Those coming from New Town will come to Aga Khan Hospital via Sir Sher Shah Road.
Closed Roads
Public will not be allowed to go from Liaquatabad to National Stadium Road via Hasan Square flyover. Motorcyclists can reach their destination by taking the University Road route. Meanwhile, general public will not be allowed to go towards Expo from University Road, who will turn towards Stadium Road. Apart from this, Hassan Square traffic from Stadium Road will continue as usual.
Heavy traffic
All types of heavy traffic will be banned from Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hasan Square, People’s Chowrangi to University Road and Karsaz to Stadium. The public is requested to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies and the traffic police to avoid any trouble.
They should not park their vehicles on any service road or main road.
