Sources told JEE News that fast bowler Mohammad Abbas is likely to replace fast bowler Haris Rauf in the Test series against England as he is ruled out for the remaining matches due to a grade II right quad strain.
The right-arm fast bowler suffered an injury after being hit by the ball while fielding on the first day of the match on Thursday. He then underwent a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at the hospital on Friday.
“Scans and subsequent assessment by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical staff concluded that the fast bowler suffered a Grade II strain,” the cricket board said in a statement today. The board said in a statement today.

England beat Pakistan by 74 runs in the first Test on Monday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
The visitors scored 657 runs in their first innings and declared their second innings at 264-7, giving Pakistan an unbeaten target of 343 runs in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan fought hard and reached 268 before being bowled out in an absorbing final session, with Saud Shakeel scoring 76 for the hosts.
The second Test will be played from December 9 to December 13 in Multan and the third Test from December 17 to December 21 in Karachi.
