Pakistan to get first installment of $1.1 billion under IMF deal in July: PM

The Federal Cabinet meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

China had helped Pakistan months before the deal, the prime minister revealed.

Extending the period of stay of Afghan refugees in Pakistan was also part of the agenda. The two-year extension of Afghan refugees’ stay here expired on June 30.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has suggested an extension of another six months.

Moreover, the HEC Amendment Bill and the five-year National Sports Policy are also part of the agenda.

Islamabad’s waste disposal project is also included in the agenda.
