Melbourne: England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and decided to bowl against Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 final on Sunday.
At the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the Green Shirts face the English players. The match will start at 1 PM (PST).

No changes have been made in both the teams for the final match of the multinational tournament.
Confident after the toss, Pakistan captain Babar Azam said the team would aim to continue the momentum – which it achieved after winning four matches in a row.
Babar noted that if he had won the toss, he would have opted to bowl first as well.
“We will try to put runs on the board and put pressure on [England]. The way the team is playing is fantastic,” he added.
The weather in Melbourne – which was a major threat to the finals of the tournament – has improved. The chance of rain ahead of the highly anticipated clash has dropped from 95% to 46%.
A minimum of 10 overs per side is required to make up a game, compared to five during the group stage. If the match starts on Sunday but is not finished, it will resume on Monday from where it was stopped.
The final comes 30 years after Imran Khan’s Pakistan beat England to win the 50-over World Cup, the country’s first global white-ball title — and the tournament bears many similarities to the 1992 tournament.
In light of this, Babar’s team may feel that they are destined to deliver the trophy.
“Of course, the similarities are (there),” Babar told reporters after the 1992 final.
“But we will try to win the trophy because it is an honor for me to lead this team, especially on this big ground.”
