PCB BoG approves increase in retainers and match fees in domestic contracts for 2022-23

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Board of Governors (BOG) has approved an increase in retainers and match fees in domestic contracts for 2022-23.

This decision is in line with the Board’s policy of encouraging high performing domestic cricketers.

The contracts will run from September 2022 to August 2023 and the list of players will be revealed in due course.

The PCB said in a press release, “After announcing an increase of PKR 100,000 in retainers across all five categories when Ramiz Raja was elected as the 34th chairman of the PCB last September, the cricket board once again Then topped up the domestic retainers.”

“However, the biggest improvement is in the match fee, which has been increased with the aim of attracting star cricketers and encouraging them to maintain high standards so that they can remain in the domestic contract categories.

“After these latest increases in retainers and match fees, the net effect is that Category A+ and Category D players can now earn between PKR4.3 million and PKR6.1 million respectively. However, to earn this, players He will have to maintain the expected fitness level and perform consistently so that he can participate in all the league matches of the National T20, Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and Pakistan Cup.
