LAHORE: Keeping in view bad weather forecast in the coming days, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PSB) on Thursday decided to hold the final of the ongoing eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Saturday (March 18). What is the decision? Gaddafi Stadium

The cricket body – in a statement issued in this regard – said that the decision was taken due to the weather forecast while Sunday (March 19) and Monday (March 20) will be treated as reserve days.

It should be noted that initially the final was scheduled for Sunday (March 19) in Lahore.

PCB Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi said: “Based on the information available about the inclement weather forecast, it is a prudent and proactive approach that we use an off-day and play the final on Saturday. And use Sunday with Monday. Safe day.”

“The change in date will give us two reserve days if the match cannot be completed or is played on a Saturday instead of the traditional ODI,” he added.

Najam Sethi added that the management has spoken to the teams involved in the playoffs, and they not only agree with the decision but also support and support the PCB’s decision.

Regarding fans who have bought tickets for the mega event, he assured people that there will be no inconvenience as the tickets purchased for Sunday’s match will remain valid for the rescheduled final on Saturday.

Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans have qualified for the final after defeating Lahore Qalandars in the qualifier on Wednesday.

Qalandars will now play either Peshawar Zalmi or Islamabad United in the second eliminator on March 17. The winner of this match will play against Multan on Saturday.
