People’s Party believes in democracy, it faced great difficulties, Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said that his party Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) believes in democracy and in the past faced great difficulties for democratic governance in the country.

Bilawal Bhutto while addressing a function organized by Pakistani expatriates in Tokyo said that Pakistan and Japan have the potential to increase bilateral trade in various fields for mutual benefit.

The foreign minister said that both countries can benefit from investment in agriculture and livestock. He said that the coalition government in Pakistan is working on economic diplomacy to bring prosperity. Pakistan can learn from Japan’s progress in information technology and other fields.

The FM said that during the meeting with the Japanese leadership and businessmen, he would urge them to facilitate trade and increase investment in Pakistan. Pakistan has more than 65% youth population and the country can benefit from this human resource through skill based education and training.

Bilawal Bhutto urged overseas Pakistanis, especially businessmen, to play their role in increasing trade between the two countries and strengthening bilateral relations.
