ISLAMABAD: Senator and Central Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Ijaz Chaudhry on Monday said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) points its finger at the establishment line and not the recent statement of its leaders. Sit down. OK with PTI.
Talking to a private news channel, the lawmaker said that the narrative of the Muslim League (Q) was on a collision course with the PTI and was benefiting the ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
He further said that Chaudhry’s statements did not go down well with PTI workers and voters and advised him to refrain from issuing such statements in future.
“The whole nation is watching, and they should refrain from doing that.”
Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday revealed that it was former Army Chief General (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa who PTI to the Muslim League (Q) for moving a no-confidence motion against the then Prime Minister Imran Khan. I was asked to support him.
The Punjab Chief Minister also opposed PTI’s policy of targeting former COS Bajwa, saying that Imran Khan should not have been called “Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq”.
Ejaz further said that it is possible that the leaders of Muslim League-Q may have passed the statements to attract the attention of the concerned constituencies.
“The politics of the Muslim League (Q) always toes the line of the establishment, and they take all their political decisions in consultation with them.”
The senator said he still believed that Chaudhry would follow the instructions of the establishment in the future. However, there is no ambiguity in the stand of PTI, Chairman Imran Khan, and its leadership, the party will stick to its decision, Senator Ejaz said.
When asked why Gujarat Chaudhrys would have issued statements in favor of the former army chief, he said that many politicians issue such statements under the doctrine of necessity.
He added that this could be an attempt to win over the new management (in the establishment) to curry favor with them and gain their attention.
Ijaz added that the majority of Pakistan and the entire international community support Imran Khan’s narrative, which is a fitting response to Chaudhry’s statement.
‘Thank you’ person
On the other hand, the Punjab Chief Minister’s camp has expressed a strong reaction to the statement of Ejaz Chaudhry.
Parvaiz Elahi’s spokesperson called Ejaz Chaudhry a ‘thankful’ person.
He said that Parvaiz Elahi was the one who elected Ejaz Chaudhry unopposed as a senator, while before the election Ejaz was begging for the support of Parvaiz Elahi.
