After their victory against Islamabad United on Thursday night, Peshawar Zalmi have now become the first team to complete 50 victories in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
On the other hand, Karachi Kings have the record of most losses in PSL, having lost 50 out of 85 matches.
Peshawar Zalmi, one of the five inaugural PSL teams, has played 92 matches and won 50 of them. Out of 50 matches, Zalmi won 49 of them outright and won one game in the Super Over.
Babar Azam’s PSL has a success rate of 54.39% and is the only team to have reached the play-offs in all eight editions of the marquee event.
Last night, Zalmi knocked out United during the first eliminator of the eighth season of the PSL and lived to fight another day.
Zalmi set United a target of 184 runs in the first eliminator played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Now they will face Lahore Qalandars and fight for a place in the final. The second eliminator will be played today at the same venue.
