ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to increase the price of petrol by Rs 10 per liter for the next 15 days, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced on Saturday.
In a statement, the Finance Division said the increase in the prices of petroleum products was due to “increase in petroleum prices in the international market and changes in exchange rates”.
The finance division statement said that the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 282 per litre, while the prices of high speed diesel and light diesel oil will remain stable at Rs 293 and Rs 174.68 per litre, respectively.
However, the price of kerosene has been increased by Rs 5.78 per liter from Rs 180.28 per liter to Rs 186.07 per litre.
