Pakistan’s famous actor Firdous Jamal, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, has been promised by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to provide him with proper treatment.
Recently, it was reported that Prime Minister Shehbaz met the versatile actor personally and assured him that the entire nation is praying for his speedy recovery. He further assured in the telephonic conversation that his cancer treatment expenses will be borne by the government.
Firdous Jamal’s son Hamza Firdous also expressed his warm gratitude to Prime Minister Sharif through an Instagram post.
A few days ago, Hamza shared the sad news that his father was going to Shaukat Khanum Hospital for cancer treatment. He also requested his well-wishers to remember his father in their prayers.
Jamal has been a prominent name in Pakistan who has produced many television, stage and radio projects. He started his career in the 70s with the drama Badmani De Toway.
Some of his notable performances include: Sahil, Dhoop Deor, Ruswain, Saiban Chashe Ka and many more.
Firdous Jamal also received the Pride of Performance Award in 1996 for his services to the entertainment industry.
