PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the acquittal of Maryam Nawaz in the Avenfield reference is a major failure of political revenge against the Sharif family.
On Thursday, Information and Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said that after the Islamabad High Court annulled the sentences in the Avenfield reference, Muslim League (N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
On Twitter, he said that the Prime Minister congratulated Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar for his acquittal.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that I congratulate our leader Nawaz Sharif on the acquittal of Maryam Nawaz. I hope that justice will prevail in the case against Nawaz Sharif after the evidence of Judge Arshad Malik.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also thanked Allah for canceling the sentences of Maryam Nawaz and her husband Captain (R) Safdar.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that I am thankful to Allah that justice was provided to my daughter Maryam and my son-in-law Safdar, a dark era of political vendetta ended and the innocent came out innocent and steadfast. .
The Prime Minister said that Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar faced the most difficult situations with determination and bravery. The Prime Minister tweeted that the court’s verdict has completely destroyed the face of lies, dirt and corruption.
He said that we are prostrating to Allah Almighty who has blessed us with success.
Maryam Nawaz also tweeted saying that she missed her mother on this great day.

IHC acquitted Maryam and Safdar.
On September 29, the IHC acquitted Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar in the Avonfield reference, overturning their convictions by the accountability court in 2018.
Some time ago, the IHC had reserved its decision on Maryam’s appeal against the conviction in the Avonfield reference.
An accountability court, just before the 2018 general election, fined Maryam £2 million and jailed her for seven years for “being instrumental in concealing her father’s assets” and one year for non-cooperation with the bureau. sentenced to – Sentences that were to run concurrently.
The leader of Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to ten years in prison for having assets in excess of his income, Maryam’s husband Captain (R) Muhammad Safdar was sentenced to two years in prison with hard labor.
