PML-N ‘Ready’ for Punjab Elections Nawaz and Maryam ‘will return to Pakistan in January’

LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Nawaz Sharif on Friday and a meeting of senior party leaders was held at his residence to discuss the political situation in Punjab.

Sources say that Nawaz Sharif asked Prime Minister Shehbaz to instruct the Governor of Punjab to deal with political matters in the province.

A day ago Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi signed the summary of dissolution of Punjab Assembly.

According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told the party leaders that Nawaz Sharif and party chief organizer Maryam Nawaz will return home this month (January) and actively participate in the election campaign.

Several Muslim League (N) leaders, including Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Asif and Atta Tarar, expressed their determination to win the Punjab and KP provincial elections on TV talk shows on Friday night.

Speaking to private TV after the meeting, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the PML-N is ready for elections in Punjab in 90 days and is claiming victory in the provincial assembly elections.

Rana said that the National, Sindh and Balochistan Assemblies will complete their term by August this year.

Rana said that the coalition parties are not in favor of dissolving the assemblies as it is an undemocratic process. He added that there was a strong opinion in our party to let them dissolve the assemblies, but if that happens, we are ready for elections.

He said that Muslim League (N) tried to stop the undemocratic process in Punjab, he added that martial law derailed the democratic process in history, now a political dictator is trying to derail it. Is. He said that Muslim League-N is ready for elections at any time. He added that we will fully participate in it.

Senior leader of PML-N and Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif said that the summary of dissolving the assembly of Punjab Chief Minister will be followed according to the law, PML-N is not afraid of elections.

He further said that with the advice of the Chief Minister, Imran’s bandit rule has ended in Punjab. He said that he will defeat Imran Khan in Punjab.

Khawaja told a private news channel that the elections to both the KP and Punjab Assemblies will be held within 90 days of dissolution. He said that we will contest the elections and win.

Rejecting the option of calling general elections, the minister said how can he ask the governments of Sindh and Balochistan to dissolve the provincial assemblies.

Attaullah Tarar, another leader of PML-N, said that the party is ready for elections. He said that the issue of the appointment of the caretaker chief minister will be discussed after the signing of the summary of dissolution of the assembly by the governor, adding that the central leadership of the Muslim League (N) will return home soon.
