ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb on Sunday denied Tasneem Haider Shah’s claim of being the spokesperson of Muslim League-N in London, saying that he is the organizer of PTI in London.
According to a video shared on PTI’s Twitter account, Shah claimed his affiliation with the PML-N and with supremo Nawaz Sharif in July and October this year regarding the assassination of PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Revealed some of the alleged meetings that took place.
Shah also claimed that discussions at party meetings included the killing of journalist Arshad Sharif and Khan before the appointment of a new army chief.
In the video, Shah further alleges that the PML-N supremo asked him to arrange shooters to shoot the PTI chief in Wazirabad, which he failed to do.
However, Maryam has denied Shah’s claims and asked him to present evidence to back them up before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
“Tasneem Haider has nothing to do with PML-N, if she has any evidence, she should present it before the JIT legal forum,” the minister said, insisting that the “real killers” of the journalist could be identified through “fake news”. “Can’t be distracted from.”
On the other hand, Muslim League-N President Zubair Gul in Britain has also rejected the claims made by Shah.
“Tasneem Haider is not PML-N spokesperson at all, we will drag her to UK courts for her allegations. This drama is created to divert attention from the real killers of Arshad Sharif,” Gill said. It added that the two men sitting above Shah are left and right PTI leaders and are protesting outside the PML-N supremo’s house in London.
Shah Involved in Investigation: Punjab Govt
Commenting on this matter, Punjab Chief Minister’s Advisor on Home Affairs Umar Sarfraz Cheema has said that Shah has been contacted and included in the investigation.
“After Tasneem Haider’s confession, PML-N’s central, provincial and district leadership will also be investigated,” Cheema said while informing about the Punjab government’s next steps in the investigation into the attack on Khan.
Punjab government spokesperson and PTI member Musrat Jamshed Cheema has expressed concern over the shocking revelations made by Shah in the video.
Referring to PML-N, Jamshed Cheema said, “The characters behind the conspiracy to kill our leader by shooters have come to light. We demand the judiciary to form a high-level commission to investigate”.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Ata Tarar shared pictures of Shah with PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari on her social media and described him as “a man of the highest order”.
Tarar reacted to Shah’s claims by saying that the man appears to be a fraud. Never heard his name or seen him. Some channels have immediately declared him as spokesperson.

Instead he argued that Shah Zulfi could be Bukhari’s spokesperson as he is usually seen at PTI gatherings.
Responding to Tarar, PTI leader Bukhari denied knowing Shah.
“Overseas Pakistanis have always treated me with respect. There were more than 1,500 people at the event. I don’t know this person,” Bukhari said, explaining that the photo clearly showed him being introduced by Shah. It happened at the same time.

“I will not stoop so low for dirty politics,” he said while discussing Shah’s claims. More importantly the fact that the accuser is speaking from Britain, it is impossible to get away with making false allegations.
Bukhari insisted that the allegations are serious and investigation is necessary.
The PTI leader said that if the allegations are false, they [PMLN] should approach the British court.
Suspected Fugitive Killer
Meanwhile, Punjab Police sources said that the suspect in a Shah murder case is absconding.
According to the documents, the person claiming to be the spokesman of Muslim League-N in London is accused in the case of murder in the Gujarat police station since May 15, 2004.
Sources added that Shah is a suspect in a murder case in which 17 people were killed and has been named in the case during investigation.
