England’s Sam Billings was playing for Lahore as Khan’s replacement when defending champions Qalandars picked him up in PSL 2023 in the online replacement draft.
Billings took to Twitter to say he was delighted to join the Qalandars family, saying: “Excited to join the Lahore Qalandars family, can’t wait to play in Pakistan for the first time.”
The 24-year-old spinner will participate in today’s encounter between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators in Karachi.
The leg-spinners were unable to ensure their participation due to domestic obligations.
