JEE News reported on Wednesday that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to its Rawalpindi office tomorrow (June 15) to investigate the Toshakhana case.

It is the third time the former prime minister, who was ousted by a no-confidence vote in April last year, has been summoned in three months, as the anti-corruption watchdog issued two summonses in March. However, the PTI chief failed to join the investigation on both the occasions.

On Tuesday, the country’s anti-corruption agency sent a call-up notice to the former prime minister’s residence in Zaman Park area of Lahore.

On November 19, NAB had taken notice of non-disclosure of the actual value of the gifts received by the former prime minister, his wife and other members of the cabinet.

Sources familiar with the matter said that there is a difference between the actual value of the gifts given to the former prime minister and the sale price.

The cricketer-turned-politician bought these gifts at a bargain price while he was the prime minister and then sold them for lakhs of rupees, allegations he has categorically denied.
