LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab cabinet minister Sardar Hasnain Bahadur Dareshk has reportedly resigned from his post after verbal altercation with Chief Minister Pervez Elahi.
According to the details, the provincial food minister has also confirmed to send his resignation to the chief minister.
Sources said that the two had a bitter exchange during the cabinet meeting on Friday after which the minister walked out of the room in protest and later tendered his resignation.
Insiders privy to the development said several ministers wanted to speak at the same time in the cabinet meeting, but the chief minister said he would conduct the meeting in a disciplined manner and only one minister could speak at a time.
Despite the Chief Minister’s instructions, Sardar Hasnain Bahadur continued the talks.
According to sources, when Chief Minister Elahi stopped Bahadur for speaking without permission, the provincial minister got angry and left the meeting threatening to resign.
Sardar Hasnain Bahadur Dreshk is the son of Sardar Nasrullah Khan Dreshk, the current PTI MNA from Rajanpur.
