- PTI Chairman Imran Khan will lead a long march in Islamabad from today (Friday) to truly liberate the nation.
- The long march will start from Liberty Chowk in Lahore and proceed towards Muridke via Ferozepur Road, Ichhra, Azadi Chowk, Mazang, Data Darbar.
- The march is likely to enter Islamabad on November 4 via Kamonki, Gujranwala, Daska, Sambaryal, Lala Musa, Kharian, Gujjar Khan and Rawalpindi. It is expected that after the end of the long march, Imran along with his supporters will stage a sit-in against the Shehbaz-led coalition government in the federal capital.
- This will be the PTI chief’s second march to Islamabad after he was ousted by a no-confidence motion earlier this year.
Lawyers rally disperses after protesting outside SC
Lawyers from the Insaf Lawyers Forum protested outside the Supreme Court and chanted slogans outside the Election Commission of Pakistan over the attack on Imran Khan.
They dispersed after protesting for some time.
Earlier, the rally was stopped by the Islamabad Police from entering the Red Zone area. But was allowed to go after the assistant commissioner gave the approval.
Khawaja says Attack should not be turned political
Asif alleged that the PTI used the attack for political purposes. He appealed that the matter should not be turned into political.
The minister also stated that the IG Punjab had warned of a firing or bomb attack on the march.
“Everyone condemned the incident that happened yesterday. There is no doubt that the incident is shameful for the whole nation,” said Asif. He added that the federal government want the reason behind the attack to come out.
The minister also shared that the suspect’s statement pointed out that the attack was due to religious fanaticism.

Defence Minister reiterates calls for JIT
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif reiterated calls for the formation of a joint investigation team to probe the attack on Imran Khan’s life.
Addressing the National Assembly, Asif said that members with whom the PTI had objections should be removed.
Imran Khan shot in both legs: Jinnah Hospital administration
The administration of the Jinnah Hospital revealed that Imran Khan was shot in both legs.
It said that the bullet grazed the right leg while the bullet affected the bone of the left leg.
The administration further said that the PTI chief was unconscious when he was brought to Shaukat Khanum Hospital, adding that there were 16 injury marks on both legs.

Investigation reveals suspect addicted to drugs
LAHORE: The preliminary investigation revealed that the person who attacked Imran Khan is a drug addict.
According to the investigation, the suspect bought 46 bullets along with the pistol. He first tried to use the roof of a mosque, however, the police did not allow him to go there due to Asr prayers.
The suspect reached the site through Bypass Road, per the investigation. It also revealed that the suspect asked the participants in the march to pray and stop the party anthem.
Insaf Lawyers Forum lead rally in Islamabad

The lawyer’s community from Rawalpindi and Islamabad also participated in the protest.

The police have arrested a suspicious person outside Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahore.
The police said that the person belongs to Raiwind.
Top PTI leadership to hold consultative meeting at 1pm
The top PTI leadership has decided to hold a consultative meeting at 1pm today under the chairmanship of Imran Khan, spokesperson of Punjab the chief minister, Musarrat Cheema said.

Police continue evidence collection at crime scene
WAZIRABAD: The investigation into the attack on Imran Khan is ongoing at the Allahwala Chowk.
The police, security and forensic teams are busy collecting evidence from the site of the incident.
The police are also investigating the suspect and his family who are in custody. The bullet shells found from the crime scene and the videos of the incident are also being examined.
According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect used a 9mm pistol. The police have recovered the two gun magazines and 20 bullets from the suspect.
There are 11 bullet cases recovered from the crime scene, including nine pistol bullets and two large firearm bullets, states the police report.
The investigation also revealed that the suspect came prepared with a gun and two magazines. It also states that apparently, it looks like the suspect’s family was unaware of the attack.

Imran hit with two bullets: Dr Yasmin
PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid said on Friday that Chairman PTI Imran Khan was hit with two bullets to his leg.
The medico-legal procedure of Imran Khan has been completed, the PTI Central Punjab president said, speaking to the media at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore in the early hours of Friday.
No violence to take place: Imran says two hours before attack
Chairman PTI Imran Khan expressed his confidence that no violence would ever take place during the long march.
The PTI chief’s resolve came just two hours before Thursday’s attempt on his life. “I am confident that there will be no violence in the long march,” Imran said, speaking to the British media.
“I have been protesting on the streets for the last six months. The long march aims at holding the general elections and bringing change to the country.”
Imran Khan emphasised that there is no other options besides holding elections.
The PTI chief reiterated his oft-repeated position that he won’t form the government if he gets a debilitated government like the last time.
The coalition government was frail last time, Imran Khan said, adding, “I was not strong enough to enforce the rule of law. Therefore, I couldn’t bring the powerful mafias to justice.”
He asserted that the mafias had many ways to incapacitate and blackmail him.
“If I have the full number in parliament this time around, I will assume power,” he vowed, saying the government can implement the law only when it has a majority in parliament.
11 bullet cases found from attack site: police report
Police and other security agencies have completed the initial investigation of the gunfire attack on Imran Khan’s container.
There are 11 bullet cases recovered from the crime scene, including nine pistol bullets and two large firearm bullets, states the police report.
The report says pistol bullets were fired at the container from underneath while larger bullets were shot from the container.
The youth Muazzam Qaiser, who lost his life, was trying to capture the accused, the report said. It added that the deceased received a gunshot to his head that killed him on the spot.
The report said that at least 13 people were wounded in the incident. Four individuals received gunshot injuries while the nature of the injuries of the rest of the people is different.
According to the report, PTI leader Faisal Javed is not among those injured by gunshot. He has a minor injury on his face, it added.
Attack on Imran Khan regrettable: British foreign secretary
UK’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs James Cleverly has said that the attack on Imran Khan is “regrettable.”
In a statement, the foreign secretary said that it was condemnable that the PTI’s convoy was attacked which also lead to the loss of one life.
“We express sympathy with all the victims of the attack,” he said, adding that “there is no room for violence in politics”.

Where does govt plan to send Imran Khan after arresting him?
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Wednesday revealed that he would send PTI Chairman Imran Khan to Balochistan after arresting him.
“I will keep him [Khan] in the Mirchi Ward at Machh Jail as several politicians have lived there previously,” he said during Geo News programme Capital Talk.
The interior minister also revealed that BNP chief Akhtar Mengal has taken promise that if Khan is arrested he would be kept in Macch Jail.

No progress in society till there is justice: Imran Khan
Addressing the participants on the start of the sixth day, PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that there is no progress in a society till there is justice.
“Non-provision of justice is our biggest problem,” said the PTI chief. He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was set to be sentenced in the Rs16 billion corruption case.
“Fifty years ago, Pakistan was developing rapidly. Our country cannot develop unless there is justice,” said the PTI chief. He added that the accountability watchdog was never under his control when PTI was in power.
“Those who were controlling NAB saved them,” said Khan. He added that ever since the “thieves” have bene “imposed” on the country electricity prices have been skyrocketing.
“The cases against him have started to end, NRO is being provided. Zardari’s cases have also started finishing,” said the PTI chief.
“Yesterday they used to say they are thieves, today they say NRO has been given, they are clean,” said Khan. He claimed that the incumbent government has made corruption laws that will only convict “petty thieves”.

Senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry says the party plans to keep changing the date on which they will reach Islamabad to tire the government out.

The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday issued notices to the federal capital’s administration for not issuing PTI a no-objection certificate for its sit-in.

If we are small in numbers then why are you scared, asks Fawad
GUJRANWALA: PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary Tuesday laughed off Nawaz Sharif’s statement that long marchers were no more than 2,000 and that the PTI’s demands should be given a deaf ear.
“If we are so small in number then what is there for them to be scared of, anyway?” Fawad said addressing a press conference with his party peer Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
“If we are just 2,000 then let us come to Islamabad. Why are they shaking in their shoes?”
Mocking at an exiled elder Sharif, Fawad said his younger brother (Shehbaz) was in power and the three-time former prime minister was not coming home. “When Prime Minister Shehbaz’s own family doesn’t trust him then how will investors do. “You will have to bow down to the people of Pakistan,” Fawad said.
Meanhwile, PTI stalwart Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the government was trying to make the long march look negative. “PTI workers and citizens are not going to shed blood and are advancing peacefully,” Qureshi said. They were campaigning with all their might that PTI was an adversary to the army, Qureshi said adding those who were now playing the sentinels [of the institutions] had been badmouthing about the establishment [in the past].
“Word has it that a new press conference is coming up. Imran Khan has said that these press talks are not going to harm him or the party, but the ones who will address it,” Qureshi said.

General elections to be held on time in accordance with constitution: Marriyum
Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the general elections will be held on time in accordance with the constitution.
In a televised message on Tuesday, she regretted the statement of PTI Chairman Imran Khan regarding imposition of martial law saying democracy will flourish in the country and it will continue to serve the masses.
She said the PTI chairman does not want elections, democracy and peace and development but anarchy, chaos and bloodshed. She said frustration is apparent from the statements of Imran Khan.
The Information Minister said the people of Pakistan stand with the rule of law and constitution. She said the PTI is preparing for a bloody march but the state is fully cognizant of its responsibilities to protect the citizens. Every step will be taken to secure the people. She said the people cannot be pressurized through bullying, threats and statements.
The Information Minister said the PML-N knows how to deal with the long march and Imran Khan will go home before reaching the federal capital.

Asad Umar criticizes Sanaullah for calling PTI’s long march a ‘mob’
PTI leader Asad Umar slammed Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for calling the people joining the party’s long march a “mob”.
“Those calling Pakistani people mob should have shame. The people are not with you,” said Umar in a press conference. He also challenged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to stand among the people.
“There is a paper democracy in Pakistan. In a democratic system the politicians have to make decisions,” said the former finance minister. He added that former prime minister Imran Khan is unwilling to listen to anyone.

Imran Khan to continue journey to Gujranwala tomorrow
Khan stopped at Chanda Fort and addressed his workers saying that he will continue his journey to Gujranwala tomorrow (Tuesday).
“As soon as we pass through a city, Pakistanis will see that a revolution is taking place in the country. The whole nation is witnessing that a peaceful revolution is taking place in Pakistan,” Khan said.
He told the participants of the march that they need the support of the people to ensure the rule of law in the country.
“We will get real freedom only when we have a government of people’s choice,” he said, adding that as long as “thieves” continue to be imposed on people at the behest of NROs, nothing can change.
This nation will never accept these thieves.
Khan said that once he reaches Gujranwala, he will spend the whole day with the wrestlers there.
“Freedom is not given on a plate, you have to make sacrifices for it,” he said, adding that whenever the country needed a sacrifice, he would be the first to give it.
‘I am not anyone’s mental slave’
As the marchers moved forward, Khan once again addressed them and said that they were no one’s mental slaves.
Talking about how he respects Pakistani culture, Khan said that whenever he goes abroad, he makes sure to wear a shalwar kameez as opposed to a suit because he doesn’t want to be a slave to the West.
“I am not anybody’s mental slave. The Americans have enslaved them [coalition government leaders] so that they cannot make decisions for themselves.”
He reiterated that true freedom means freedom from external masters.
The PTI chairman also said that he wants the Pakistani passport to be respected worldwide.
It will take us 8 to 9 days to reach Islamabad: Khan
Speaking in Aymanabad, Imran Khan said that it will take 8 to 9 days to reach Islamabad.
Earlier, the PTI Chairman had said that the march would enter the federal capital on November 4.
“Our caravans will leave for Islamabad from all over Pakistan. People from Sindh, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan are joining us,” Khan said.
He also mocked the supremo of Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif and said that the fugitive is waiting for the environment of the country to be suitable for his return.

“But I must tell the facilitator and handlers of Nawaz. This is the Pakistani nation. We are not sheep,” Khan said. “If you forcefully try to support thieves, the nation will turn against you.”

Addressing the party workers and supporters in Kamoke, Imran Khan once again criticised the establishment and said that they should “not side with the thieves for God’s sake”.
The PTI chairman added that those who stand with thieves will be equally responsible.
“When Musharraf removed the two families [Sharifs and Bhuttos] for corruption, the whole nation stood with the establishment. But now, you have dry-cleaned them and imposed them on us again,” he said.
Long march halted after journalist dies in accident
The PTI’s long march was halted after a journalist accidentally died while covering the march.
Speaking to the participants, Imran Khan said that the march was supposed to move towards Kamoke, Gujranwala, today. “However, due to the tragic incident, we will stop the march immediately.”

India will benefit from Imran Khan’s conspiracy to defame institutions, Faisal Karim Kundi
Criticising Imran Khan and his long march, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi said that the PTI chief’s “conspiracy to discredit state institutions will benefit India”.
He also said that Khan’s long march was actually a “slow march,” adding that Faisal Vawda had exposed the objectives of the long march before the nation.
“God forbid a situation like that arises that Vawda has told us about,” Kundi said.
He also said that if Khan was so keen to hold the elections, then he should dissolve the assemblies in the provinces where he is in power.
‘Establishment decided to side with thieves, but nation not with them’: Khan
Addressing the participants of the long march in Sadhoki, Imran Khan said that the “establishment decided to support thieves” because of which the former has “lost the support of the nation.”
“The establishment of a country should stand with the nation only,” Khan said, adding that PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif was a “criminal of the nation”, while PPP Co-chairman Asif Zardari was “the biggest disease of the country”.
He told his supporters that this was the time to change their destiny and side with the truth.
“These tyrants make us worship the idol of fear,” Khan said.
PTI seeks NOC for ‘peaceful march, sit-in’
PTI leader Ali Nawaz Awan asked the Islamabad administration to provide a no objection certificate (NOC) for a peaceful march and a sit-in in the federal capital.
Awan, in a letter, said that the PTI has responded to the administration seeking some information from the party on October 28. “The required information has been provided to the administration,” he added.
He said that delay from the administration would fall under contempt of court.
Talks possible only after date for early polls: Imran
Chairman PTI Imran Khan said that negotiations with the coalition government are possible only after it announces the date for early fair and free elections.
Taking to Twitter, he said this is the only demand he has had for the past six months.

PTI leaders Hammad Azhar, Faisal Javed bicker over mic
As the PTI’s long march approached the end of its second day, party leaders Hammad Azhar and Faisal Javed were seen haggling over the mic in a video and the former snatching it toward the end.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan stood sandwiched between the two watching the drama ensue, as former minister Azhar asked Javed to hand over the microphone to him twice.
The latter refused, gesturing no using his finger and continued to address marchers.
When Azhar asked Javed for the third time, he still refused. At this, Azhar grabbed the mic from him and began talking.

The long march is moving towards Muridke from Ferozwala. The march will end for day two at MuridKe.
PEMRA warns against airing anti-institutions content
To prevent the possibility of anti-state commentary from going on-air during the live coverage of PTI’s long march, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has issued guidelines for television channels.
PEMRA, in its notification, has directed channels to implement the delay mechanism while airing speeches of PTI’s leaders, as they address the ongoing long march.
The regulatory authority also warned that licenses of channels not adhering to the guidelines would be suspended and revoked, while legal action would also be taken against them under PEMRA Ordinance 2002’s Sections 27, 29, 30 and 33.
No possibility of negotiation; Elections will be held on time, Khawaja Asif
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif rejected any possibility of talks with PTI and said that the elections will be held at the constitutional time.

Angry over generator malfunction: Asad Umar on his viral video
PTI leader Asad Umar issued a clarification over his viral video in which he was seemingly having a heated discussion with Hammad Azhar, putting an end to the speculations on social media.
Taking to Twitter, Umar said that the discussion was about the generator which had broken down during the long march and the other generator was in one of the cars stuck in traffic.

A video of PTI leader Asad Umar having what looks like an argument with Hammad Azhar during the long march has gone viral.
The video shows both PTI leaders engaging in a heated discussion with party chair Imran Khan standing with them.
The video has triggered several reactions from netizens with one of them saying that the argument was about the low turnout of the supporters.
The video was shared by many social media users. It was also shared by PML-N’s lawmaker Kheal Das Kohistani who claimed that “infighting in the anarchist gang is going on”.

Climate Change Minister Sherry Rehman slammed PTI’s long march, claiming that a “personal political battle is being fought” under its guise.
“The purpose of ‘haqeeqi azadi’ is to [say], ‘deal with me and put me on the seat of power’. The country is independent and the people are aware. If anything in this country is subservient, it is Imran Khan’s politics and thinking,” she said in a series of tweets.

Faisal Vawda’s membership of PTI was terminated.

Islamabad police bars hotels from providing accommodation to march participants
Islamabad police barred hotels and guest houses in the federal capital from providing accommodation to the participants of the long march.
The directive came with an official notification issued by the police this morning. It said hotels and guest houses will be checked on a daily basis.
Non-compliers will have to face strict action.
PTI permission request for jalsa returned with objections
The federal capital administration has raised various objections on the PTI application for its planned sit-in/ public meeting here and sought guarantees that the Srinagar Highway would not be blocked and the citizens’ fundamental rights not disrupted.
Guarantees have been sought for not disrupting or disturbing the fundamental rights of citizens of Islamabad and adjoining areas e.g. the Right to Freedom of Movement (Article 15) the Right to Freedom of Trade and Business (Article 18) and the Right to Education (Article 25-A).

Chief Minister Punjab Directs Fool-Proof Security for PTI’s Long March

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the participants of the PTI’s long march will be provided with fool-proof security. He said he is personally inspecting the maintenance of public order in the province.
He presided over a meeting at his office on Friday where he discussed the security arrangements for the long march, the route of the march, and the deployment of police forces.
The chief minister directed the concerned authorities to ensure foolproof security arrangements for the long march. He added that special arrangements should be made to maintain law and order on the whole route of the long march.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan halted the long march at the end of the first day of the anti-government protest.
“I knew Lahore will never disappoint me,” he said, addressing the participants of the march at the Data Darbar, Lahore. “However, we are concluding our Islamabad-bound journey for today.”
Khan announced that the long march would resume its journey towards the federal capital at 11am from Shahdara, outside Lahore.
The PTI chief reiterated his stance, saying the long march was neither for politics nor was it a regular movement. Instead, it is a “jihad” for real freedom, he stressed.

Islamabad admin refuses to provide NOC to PTI
The Islamabad Administration on Friday rejected PTI’s no-objection certificate of the party to hold its gathering in the federal capital.
The district administration, in a letter asked PTI to satisfy the administration in writing, adding that the party had violated the NOC that was provided to it on May 25.
“You were given permission in the past as well but you violated all the promises that were made,” said the Islamabad administration in the letter. The party was also given a list of violations it had committed in the past.

Nation has rejected ‘bloody march’, says information minister
Taking a jibe at her predecessor, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the nation has rejected the “bloody march” and refused to become a “slave” of the “foreign funded fitna”.

PTI leader Asad Umar has said that the party’s long march is not to conquer anyone, adding that elections were the only option.
“Our demand is not to restore PTI’s government and make Imran Khan the prime minister,” said Umar. He added that the country is facing an economic, social and political crisis which can be resolved through elections.

Interior Minister vows not to allow any mob to attack Islamabad
With just a few minutes to Imran Khan’s long march, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan vowed not to allow any mob to attack Islamabad.
“If Mob culture is developed, then where will democracy and state [go],” said Sanaullah while talking to the media outside a Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench. The Supreme Court has ruled on long march and sit-ins, he added.

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry urged the people of Lahore to come out on the streets with former prime minister Imran Khan to “change the system of Pakistan”.

Imran Khan bowling ‘last five overs of politics’: Sheikh Rashid
PTI ally Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has claimed that Imran Khan is bowling the “last five overs of politics”, adding that he will be with the party at Liberty Chowk.
“I hope long march fulfills its goal as per the constitution and law,” said the AML chief.
