PTI’s Long March will not Enter Islamabad at any Cost, Rana Sanaullah

PTI’s long march will not be allowed to enter the federal capital under any circumstances and the federal government has prepared a comprehensive strategy in this regard.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan presided over the in-camera meeting and approved the strategy.

On 4 October, Imran Khan asked his party leaders and workers to take an oath that they would participate in the Long March, declaring it a jihad for the country. However, he did not give any date for the march.

Interior Secretary Yusuf Naseem Khokhar, Frontier Constabulary Commandant Salahuddin Mehsud, Islamabad Chief Commissioner Usman Younis, Islamabad Inspector General of Police Dr. Akbar Nasir and other officials participated in the meeting.

The meeting was told that around 20 thousand people are expected to participate in the long march. Huddle decided to involve Sindh Police, Rangers and FC to ensure law and order in the federal capital during the long march.

It was decided that the Pakistan Army would secure government buildings and diplomatic enclaves in the Red Zone under Article 245 of the Constitution.

Sanaullah said that the long march will not be allowed to enter the federal capital at any cost. He also authorized the concerned departments to take action against individuals and organizations providing logistical and financial support to PTI for the march.

In the meeting, it was also decided to impose a complete ban on carrying weapons. It was also decided that action would be taken against federal employees who supported PTI’s long march.

Instructions were also issued to ensure freedom of movement and functioning of educational institutions during the long march.
