Remembering him on his death anniversary, Sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan dedicated his qawwali Akhyan Adiq Dayan to the late rapper during his live concert.
The same beef singer was also remembered by his village Jawahar K, where locals offered prayers along with his mother Charan Kaur.
Fans and fellow Congressmen also paid homage to the singer. “UWC (United With Congress) pays tribute to our Congressman, rockstar, legend Sidhu Moose Wala on his first death anniversary,” the Congress wrote in a special message on Twitter, adding, “You will be missed. Is”.
A devoted fan tweeted, “Remembering the legend, Sidhu Moose Wala. On his death anniversary. His music touched our souls and lyrics spoke to our hearts. Gone but never forgotten.”
The murder of the singer in broad daylight created a stir in the subcontinent. With the case still pending, Moose Wala’s father, Balkur Singh, alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party-led government in Punjab had failed to ensure justice for his son.
