Ready to leave Ronaldo Al-Nassr and become a Real Madrid ambassador?

Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly decided to leave Saudi Arabia’s Club Al Nassr, after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez offered him a non-playing role at his former club.

El Nacional reports that Ronaldo, 38, has expressed his desire to stay in Europe and has tried to secure a return to Real Madrid after leaving Manchester United in January.

The prolific striker enjoyed a successful spell during his nine seasons at the Bernabeu, scoring 450 goals and providing 131 assists in 438 games.

However, Perez reportedly blocked Ronaldo’s potential return to the club. Despite this, the player reportedly misses his time in Madrid and has now been offered a role as the club’s ambassador or to be part of their sports organization chart.

The offer comes as Ronaldo continues to impress with 11 goals in 14 games for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. So, while it looks like Ronaldo will retire anytime soon, there might be a job waiting for him at Real Madrid once he does.

However, the question remains as to which club will be next in Ronaldo’s career. Currently with Al Nassr for a reported €200 million a year, his contract expires in 2024.

The club’s former manager Rudy Garcia has insisted Ronaldo is heading back to Europe and will not end his career at Al Nassr’s Mussol Park.

Ronaldo’s decision to leave Saudi Arabia may come as a surprise to some, but it seems he is keen to secure his future in Europe. His impressive track record, coupled with Perez’s offer of an ambassadorial role, could be enough to see him return to Real Madrid in a different capacity.
