Richa Chadha, who has previously worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Ram Leela, shared her experience working on the latter’s upcoming film Heeramandi.
Speaking to JEE News, Richa admitted that it was difficult because no one can lie to the twenty one director.
“For Heeramandi, I had a very difficult time because the thing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is that you can’t lie. You catch a lie in your eyes.”
“He’s a master. So he’ll know what’s done. Well, technically right. But not from the heart. I have to come like that.”
The Fukrey actress said she loves working with Sanjay as he makes her work hard.
“Sometimes I wear a mic under my dress. The voice will come and speak. I’m like, ‘This is my heartbeat. What to do. I’ve got to do a hard shot, this is my heartbeat.’ .
“I’m coming, that’s why it’s happening.” But yes, I love working with people who push me in that way.”
Talking about his experience working with the Devdas director in Ram Leela, Richa said: “He would want 75 to 100 per cent. And he would understand that every day is not 100 per cent.
“But he’ll tell you you’re 75, I’ll take his 75, ours 90 and yours up to 85. But you can’t come to us with the familiar ‘I have a headache’ or ‘I can’t do it today.’ ‘.Wo all does not walk.’
