Actress and model Saeeda Imtiaz on Tuesday broke her silence after her death was reported on mainstream and social media citing her Instagram account, which was apparently hacked.
“Assalam Alaikum, I’m Saeeda Imtiaz. I want to let you all know that I’m fine,” the model-actor said in a video message, as news of her death circulated.
Earlier today, the news of his death spread on social media following an announcement on his official Instagram account.
According to the account, Saeeda Imtiaz was found dead in her room. However, no further details were given about the model’s death.
“I’m sad to say that when I woke up today I received several calls and messages. I didn’t understand what happened. It was very sad.”
The actor said it was very disturbing for his family – mother and siblings as they live abroad.
“My Facebook and Instagram accounts were hacked,” he said.
“I can understand that people sometimes bully or bully others, but it is not acceptable to harm a person to the extent of their family and mental health,” she added.
The actor said she was “crying” throughout the day but vowed to make sure whoever hacked her account was found and legal action would be taken against them.
He hoped that whoever hacked his account would learn during the month of Ramadan that it is not right to hurt anyone.
Earlier, the actor, his legal advisor and manager Mian Shahbaz Ahmed told JEE News that Imtiaz is “alive and well” at his home in Lahore.
Ahmad said legal action would be taken against those who hacked Imtiaz’s social media accounts and spread rumours. He said that we will find the problem behind this issue.
