Salim Khan in an interview with his son Arbaaz Khan recalled the time when he urged his children to respect his second wife Helen as much as they respected their mother Salma Khan.
Arbaaz asked father Salim on his chat show if he thinks his children helped him maintain his relationship with second wife Helen.
“There are instances where the children rebelled on how they did this to my mother. Even Salman was free at that stage”, asked the Dabangg director.
Salim replied: “At an age when my children did not understand relationships, I sat them down and explained that these are the issues.” But I just want to tell you one thing, I know you can’t love Aunt Helen as much as you love your mother, but I want the same respect”.
The Shootout at Lokhandwala actor also admitted that: “Back then, we might have had some complaints and issues about how our family was affected, but as we grew up, we also faced similar situations where We could do the same.”
“The grievances I harbored against my father were reflected in my life as well.”
According to JEE News, the Khan family now has a very good relationship with Helen. Saleem Khan’s children Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan respectfully refer to Helen as ‘Auntie’.
