Saudi Arabia has assured assistance to Pakistan’s flood-affected people

Saudi Arabia on Thursday assured Pakistan to help flood-affected Pakistanis.

This assurance was given during a telephonic conversation between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Shahbaz Sharif called Prince Salman to congratulate him on the 92nd National Day of Saudi Arabia. He also congratulated Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The Prime Minister also expressed good wishes for the continued development and prosperity of the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia.

He also apprised the Crown Prince about the latest flood situation and the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts. He praised Riyadh’s efforts to provide relief on the ground, including aid provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center. Establishment of an airlift for the delivery of relief supplies, and launch of a “Saheem” ​​portal in the Kingdom to receive donations from the general public for Pakistani flood victims.

Shahbaz also highlighted the strong economic partnership between the two countries, which has seen increased investment and cooperation in the energy sector.

The Crown Prince expressed his condolence over the loss of precious lives and livelihoods of people due to heavy rains and unprecedented floods in Pakistan.

The two leaders agreed to stay in close contact.
