A shark has been spotted in Dubai’s waters just feet away from terrified tourists swimming in the Persian Gulf.
The hunter was hiding near the shore when a shocked lifeguard had to urge the bathers to get out of the water immediately.
A woman who swam out to a buoy initially feared she had been snared by a circling shark.
The lifeguard waved at him to warn him of impending danger when the shark appeared to swim towards him.

She panicked and paddled away before the deadly fish made enough room for her to go back unhindered as she checked over her shoulder again and again.
The footage of the close call was filmed at Dubai’s Kite Beach, a popular tourist destination for water sports.
After seeing the shark, the tourist revisited Kite Beach and said no others were seen that day.
The holidaymaker said: ‘We waited and waited for sharks, and nothing came. However, they are patrolling the coast.’

Kite Beach is usually well guarded by lifeguards and swimming is only allowed until sunset.
The footage of the horrific incident was shared on TikTok where it has been viewed 7 million times.
Some praised the female swimmer for staying calm and not splashing in the water, which could have attracted the shark’s attention.
