Many believe that the world’s scariest robot is the humanoid robot Ameca, who smiles casually and introduces herself to humans as any other human would.
A recent video of the bot shows him interacting with visitors at Dubai’s Museum of the Future. The highly realistic Amika not only smiles and moves, but also winks at people.
Unlike other bots, his conversation has more than a boring introduction. “Did I win the spelling bee?” In one of his many videos circulating on the internet, he is heard joking.
Visitors ask Ameca all kinds of questions. One asked her if she was happy to which she said she had no feelings.
In a terrifying moment, Amika said: “Oh wait! What if you’re an illusion and I’m real?”
In another similar moment, a man asked her if she believed in God. She said she didn’t believe in “anything”.
It was designed by UK-based Engineered Arts who call it “the world’s most advanced humanoid robot at the forefront of humanoid robotics technology.”
The description of Android says that it is a “perfect humanoid robot”. Engineered Arts director of operations Morgan Rowe said the team’s goal is “to make the most expressive robot possible.”
They wanted it to not only look like a human, but also move and express the same.
Roe explained that the android was not fully controlled by the AI. A human controller also directs his speech and facial expressions.
