Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan, who suffered a neck injury during a match in the T20 Vitality Blast in Great Britain last night, has shared an update on his condition.

In his debut match in English county cricket, Shadab was sent off after he rudely collided with teammate Nathan McAndrew while trying to take a catch.

The 23-year-old cricketer is representing Sussex Sharks this season.

The cricketer took to Twitter to tell his fans about his injury, saying that he is better now and doing well. He said that he had a concussion test and now he will rest for a few days.

Shadab also thanked his fans and followers for their prayers and support after his injury.

Spinner wrote on the micro-blogging site, “Alhamdulillah I am better and feeling good. My connection tests have been done. As a precaution I will rest for a few days.”

According to reports, the clash between Shadab and McAndrew took place on the fourth ball of the seventh over when Somerset’s Tom Koehler-Cadmore top-edged a ball over extra cover.

He was given the concussion protocol before being sent off the field. Since then, the condition of the cricketer was being continuously monitored.

Giving an update on Shadab’s well-being after the match, Sussex head coach Paul Farbrace said the cricketer had a “bit of neck pain” but was fine. He said that the doctors thought it best to exclude Shadab from the game.

“They are both fine that’s the most important thing,” added Farbrace, referring to the two affected cricketers.

He said that the situation could have been worse but the players are doing well now.

Shadab did not come out due to injury which allowed Somerset to easily chase down the target of 184 runs. Earlier he faced eight balls and scored 9 runs with a six in the first innings.
