Shah Rukh Khan talks about negative effects of social media amid ‘Ban Pathan’ trend.

Shah Rukh Khan, recently at the 28th edition of KIFF (Kolkata International Film Festival), spoke about the negative impact of social media amid the Boycott Pathan trend.

During the event, he gave a speech where he said: “The advent of narrative through cinema and social media platforms has become the primary expression of human experience and emotion. The collective narrative of time has been shaped by social media. Contrary to the idea that the spread of social media will have a negative impact on cinema, I think cinema has an even more important role to play now.

“Social media is often driven by a certain narrowness that limits human nature to itself. And this somehow increases the consumption of negative social media and thus increases its commercial value. Such Persecutions permeate the collective narrative, making it divisive and destructive.

SRK added: “Cinema tells stories of the frailty of human nature in its simplest form as it is alive. It allows us to know each other better. In a way, it is a collective A counter-narrative is the perfect place to sustain a narrative that speaks to the broader nature of humanity—a narrative that reveals humanity’s immense capacity for compassion, unity, and brotherhood.

Siddharth Anand’s film Pathan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham has hit a big snag after the release of the song Besharam Rang.

Pathan is slated to release worldwide on January 25, 2023, reports JEE News.
