Shah Rukh Khan fans are in for a treat soon as the superstar’s blockbuster film Pathaan releases on OTT this month.

Those who didn’t get a chance to watch SRK’s blockbuster in theatres, will now be able to enjoy the action-packed film on Prime Video on March 22. The digital premiere is taking place seven weeks after the film’s theatrical release.

Pathaan premiered in theaters with some scenes deleted as they were said to be offensive. But these deleted scenes are expected to be part of the OTT version as teased by director Siddharth Anand himself.

Earlier in the film, there were issues related to Khan’s character’s religion which of course led to scenes being deleted from the theatrical release.

To clarify this, director Siddharth told him, Aditya Chopra and writers Shridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrwala share the same belief.

“All four of us have the same belief system, and the same movies that we grew up with, and believe in. We share that. So, the fact that it doesn’t have a name, and that it’s a theater. I found what was actually called Noring… it got edited, but you can watch it in the OTT version… none of us despise it, none of us say it’s welcome”, He added.

In association with Yash Raj Films, the action thriller broke almost all records at the box office. It crossed the INR 1000 crore mark internationally. The film grossed over 500 crores in India.

Pathaan also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia, reports JEE News.
