SHC Took Notice of Gang Rape of 10 Year Old Flood Affected Girl in Clifton.

The Sindh High Court, taking notice of the gang rape of a 10-year-old flood-affected girl in Clifton area of ​​Karachi, summoned the DIG Karachi South in a personal capacity.

Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Shaikh has taken notice of the incident.

The court has also summoned SSP Investigation South I in a personal capacity.

Police and medical officers on Monday confirmed that a ten-year-old internally displaced child had been raped multiple times.

According to Clifton SP Ahmad Faisal Chaudhry, a 10-year-old girl resident of Shikarpur had gone to Karachi with her family to escape the flood.

SP Chaudhry said the family was homeless and had taken up temporary accommodation on the footpath near Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s shrine in Clifton.

Based on the victim’s mother’s statement, apart from eating at an open kitchen run by philanthropists near the shrine, they used to beg from passers-by and pilgrims at the shrine.

Chaudhary said that the girl’s family, who only speak Sindhi, told them that the girl was abducted by unknown persons in a car from near the shrine and later dumped in a deserted place near the shrine.

When the family found him unconscious, they rushed him to the hospital.

Rapes in Pakistan

According to the law, a man commits rape when he has intercourse with a woman under the following circumstances:

With her consent, when the man knows that she is not married to him and the consent is given because he believes that the person is another person to whom he is married or believes himself to be. is married or with or without his consent when he is under 16 years of age.

Rape offenders shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a minimum of 10 years or more than 25 years as per the law. They will also be fined.
