Sindh LG Repolling: Most of seats were won by PPP candidates.

Sukkur/Hyderabad: Counting of votes continues after re-polling of local body elections in 15 districts of Sindh. On Sunday, re-polling was held in Khairpur, Kashmore, Kandhkot, Sukkur and other cities in which PPP candidates were successful.

Polling started at 8 am and continued till 5 pm without any break.

Polling was held for the seats of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Member Zilla Council and General Members. A total of 81 polling stations were set up in 15 districts.

Mir Sajjan Ali Talpur, GDA candidate in Ward No. 5 of Kot Diji Town Committee accused the ruling People’s Party and the Khairpur Police of harassing and abducting their female polling agents and preventing voters from voting. Did you boycott? He demanded re-polling under the supervision of the army. In Ward No. 5 of Town Committee Babarloi in Khairpur, PPP candidate Qurban Ali got 864 votes, Syed Abbas Ali Shah got 464 votes, PTI candidate Asghar Jatoi got 165 votes, while GDA K Mir Sajjan Ali got only 65 votes.

In Kandhkot’s UC Dadar, PPP candidate Rais Kashif Bhivu secured 989 votes respectively, while Zilla Council Member Mir Ahmed Raza Sundarani and PPP’s Mohammad Saleh defeated JUI(F) candidates at three other polling stations. Won the competition.

In Sukkur’s UC Pahari, PPP candidate Ahmed Jagirani secured 58 votes while Member District Council Jeevan Khan secured 53 votes, both winning against JUI(F) candidates.

In Ward No. 12 of Qamber Municipal Committee, People’s Party candidate Subhan Ali Shaikh won with 489 votes.

Meanwhile, in UC Chachero, independent candidate Abdul Aziz Rand won by securing 1,055 votes, while another independent candidate, Farooq Ahmed Khoso, won the District Councilor seat in UC Jang by securing 658 votes against PPP candidate Tahir Khoso. who got only 22 votes. Apart from this, in the same UC, the candidate of the People’s Party, Esir Das, won the General Counsel seat by getting 751 votes.

In Ward No. 2 of Union Council Dockery, PPP candidate Gibran got 686 votes against GDA’s Habibullah Khoso with 530 votes.

In Ward No. 3 of Union Council Wigan, PPP candidate Jahangir Kalhoro came second with 365 votes while independent candidate Gibran got 158 votes. In Ward No. 2 of Town Committee Jamshoro, People’s Party candidate Arshad Hussain Sohto won by getting 423 votes, Jamshoro Ittihad candidate Lala Sohrab got 337 votes.

Re-polling was held in 15 districts of the province including Mirpurkhas, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Badin, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirabad and Sanghar.
