The upper reaches of the Neelam Valley including Grace, Arang Kiel, Shunthar received the first snowfall of the year in the wee hours of Thursday morning.
The famous tourist spot Arang Keel is presenting a beautiful scene after the snowfall.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had earlier forecast rain with gusty winds and thundershowers in Kashmir, while it forecast snow and hail in the higher altitude areas on Wednesday and Thursday.
Smog in Punjab
Lahore ranks first with the worst air quality on the Air Quality Index (AQI) with 241 points. In AQI, Faisalabad is ranked second and third with 230 points and Karachi with 117 points respectively.
Lahore High Court issued smog emergency.
The Lahore High Court had ordered the Punjab government to impose a smog emergency and convene a meeting to take precautionary measures before the onset of cold weather.

Punjab
A chance of gusty winds and thunderstorms in the morning. There is also a possibility of hailstorm at few places.
The weather will remain dry in the southern districts of the province.
Sindh
The weather will remain hot and dry in most of the districts of the province.
Balochistan
Weather will remain dry in most districts of the province.
However, strong/dusty winds are expected in Dalbandin, Nokundi and surrounding areas.
KP
Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Balakot and adjacent areas are likely to experience strong winds, snowfall is likely in the mountains. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of wind and hailstorm at some places in Peshawar.
The weather will remain dry in other districts of the province.
