Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday shared with his party leaders the details of the assassination plot against him.
He claimed that under this plan, assassins were hired from South Waziristan.
Imran Khan also revealed that the attackers were paid cash to carry out the operation and that they have all the proofs of the plan.
The PTI chief claimed that there were three shooters in Wazirabad and tried to show that the attack was not carried out by a trained assassin but by a lone religious fanatic. .
On November 4 last year, when his container passed through Wazirabad in Gujranwala, Imran Khan and other PTI leaders who were surrounding him on his container came under gunfire.
He survived the attack with only bullet and bullet wounds and shrapnel in his legs, from which he is still recovering. At least 14 others were injured in the attack while one person was killed while trying to nab Naveed, the alleged gunman.
