Jemima Rodriguez and teenager Richa Ghosh led India to a seven-wicket win over Pakistan in the match.
What was a tense run chase turned into a comfortable win with an over to spare as Rodriguez and Ghosh put on an unbeaten 58 off 33 balls.
Rodriguez batted with calm skill to score 53 not out off 38 balls while Ghosh, 19, scored 31 not out off 20 balls.
Pakistan decided to bat on a dry pitch and scored 149 runs for four wickets.
It was a total that looked unlikely when they were 68 for four in the 13th over.
But captain Bisma Maruf (68 not out) and Ayesha Naseem (43 not out) turned the innings around with an unbeaten partnership of 81 runs off 47 balls.
The left-hander faced 55 balls and hit seven fours while 18-year-old Naseem hit two fours and two sixes off 25 balls.
Naseem struck almost immediately with some powerful hits, including a six over long off off medium-order Renuka Singh that cost him 18 runs.
The Indian innings followed a similar pattern with Pakistani left-arm spinner Nashra Sidhu bowling brilliantly, taking two wickets for 15 runs in his four overs.
Sadhu dismissed Shifali Verma, who was caught on the boundary by Sidra Amin and India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, leaving India needing to score around 10 runs per over in the last six overs.
But Pakistan paid the price for picking only five bowlers and the rest of the bowlers were costly, while their fielders were guilty of several misfields.
In the 18th over, three fours by Ghosh off Ayman Anwar’s consecutive deliveries effectively settled the match.
