Spotify launched ‘Niche Mixes’, a collection of personalized playlists based on familiar songs and recommendations in specific categories. An extension of Spotify’s Mix Playlist feature, the new addition enables users to have more control over what they listen to.
Announcing the launch of the feature, the platform said, “No matter the moment or occasion, you’ll get a personalized mix, combining the artists, genres, and decades of music you’ve been listening to. We already know and love songs that we think you’ll enjoy. That meets the moment.”
This feature will automatically organize music preferences into playlists, especially for those who are too lazy to do so. Users can also manually search for specific words for better recommendations such as ‘activities, vibes, aesthetics, etc.’
Spotify Mixes are available globally for free and premium users, with a selection of mixes curated by Spotify under the “Made for You” hub. Each mix is updated daily to keep up with new music interactions and adaptations.
