KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has commissioned a new gas pipeline to increase supply and solve low gas pressure problems faced by residents of Lyari, Garden and Old City areas.
SSGC Managing Director Imran Muniyar inaugurated the 12-inch diameter pipeline which spans five kilometers starting from Mazar-e-Quaid and ending at Dhobi Ghat at a cost of around Rs 150 million.
Members of the Distribution Department led by Deputy General Manager (Distribution Karachi Central) Abdul Rasheed Laghari were also present who gave a comprehensive briefing about the project to the Managing Director.
SSGC Managing Director congratulated the company’s engineers and technicians for completing the project on time.
He added that this pipeline will bring a lot of comfort to the consumers living in the old city areas as it will solve their problems of low gas pressure.
