On Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan can emerge as a strong country on the global stage but for that it has to work hard.

After meeting Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) supremo Nawaz Sharif in London and before flying to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Shahbaz talks about his recent meetings with the heads of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in a special conversation.

Asked whether Pakistan has emerged as a stronger nation after the warmth it received during a visit where it was warmly received by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in addition to the closeness with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Shehbaz Sharif was honored in the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, he said that there is still work to be done.

“Pakistan will definitely regain its lost position in the world,” the prime minister said, outlining the path to regain lost pride.

“We must work together and stop pulling each other down,” he insisted.

He also made derogatory comments about some of his critics and opponents.

“We should not rely on lies, misrepresentations and exaggerations, but we should work diligently and honestly,” he said, adding that only then could the country regain its respectability in the community of nations.
