Hobart: The start of the T20 World Cup match between South Africa and Zimbabwe here on Monday was delayed due to rain. Zimbabwe captain Craig Irvine won the toss and elected to bat in their Super 12 match.
Rain also delayed the toss for the game between the African neighbors and was returned after the end of the national anthem, forcing the groundsmen to bring cover at Bellerive Oval.
Zimbabwe are playing an unchanged XI from their last match against Scotland.
South African captain Temba Baoma said he would have bowled first anyway, perhaps keeping in mind the possibility of rain and the Duckworth/Lewis method that could come into play later.
SA got four fast bowlers and a spinner for the game.
