The Legend of Maula Jatt is the first Pakistani film to cross the 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office within ten days of its global release.
According to reports, the film has broken records not only in Pakistan but also abroad. On its 13th day, TLoMJ has achieved a major milestone by beating two Bollywood superstar films on its first day of international release.
Akshay Kumar’s Ram Sethu and Ajay Devgn as well as Siddharth Malhotra’s Thank God released on Diwali. Both the films performed well on the first day in India, however, overseas collections were “quite poor”.
According to Bollywood analyst Komal Nahta, Pakistani film TLoMJ grossed “more” at the global box office than Bollywood films in both Canada and the UK.
Nahata took to Twitter on Wednesday and wrote, “Ram Sethu and Thank God at least managed a fair opening day collection in India for the Diwali holidays, but both fared poorly overseas. Pakistani film Moolah Jat’s 13th day is more than the first day of both the Bollywood films.

For the unversed, Maula Jatt is the remake of 1979 classic movie and features Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan as well as Humaima Malick in key roles.
