Three Injured Including Five Children in Grenade Attack in Hub

In a brazen attempt, at least six people, including three women and three children, were injured on Tuesday when unidentified assailants threw a grenade at the home of an associate of a prominent tribal figure in Balochistan’s Hub, police and rescue officials said. .

Hub City Police Duty Officer Samad said that the incident took place at 8:20 PM inside Khyber Society located near Hub City Hotel.

He said that the grenade exploded inside the house.

The police say that after the explosion, the windows of the nearby buildings were also broken, while the security forces have surrounded the area and started a search operation to arrest the suspects in addition to further investigation.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital from where the more seriously injured were shifted to Karachi for medical assistance.

Rescue officials told that the injured include 40-year-old Irfan Salahuddin, 32-year-old Faiza, 55-year-old Samina, 36-year-old Amina and 10-month-old Afnan.

The house that was attacked belonged to Mir Salahuddin Zehri’s associate Irfan Zehri.

Mir Salahuddin Zehri is a close associate of former Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri.
