Quetta: Unknown miscreants opened fire on the car of a well-known doctor in the city, as a result of which his three sons were killed.
The firing incident took place in City Area Joint Road when the doctor’s family was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony.
The family of Chaman-based orthopedist Dr. Nasir Achakzai was returning to the Railway Housing Society on Joint Road, police said.
Achakzai’s three sons, 20-year-old Zarian, 18-year-old Sadran and another eight-year-old son died on the spot.
After the firing, the police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Quetta.
Taking notice of the attack, Inspector General Balochistan Police Abdul Khaliq Sheikh has asked for a report from the DIG.
