Tiger Shroff has opened up about how he came close to landing the iconic Spider Man role and reached out to Marvel to cut his budget.
During an interview with Connect FM Canada, the Flying Jatt star revealed, “I auditioned for Spider-Man, I sent them my tapes, and they were pretty impressed. My idea for them was: That I’ll save you a lot of money on your VFX because I can do most of Spider-Man’s work. I was pretty close to being a part of it.”
The 32-year-old hero was considered for the role. However, according to Deadline, other actors including Matthew Lintz, Charlie Plummer, and Asa Butterfield were also closed for the Spidey hero. However, Tom Holland eventually got the role.
Although Tiger is associated with Spider-Man movies. He worked as a background voice-over artist in the Hindi dub of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017.
The actor was over the moon and explained his experience, “I can’t express my excitement to be the voice of my childhood superhero Spider-Man in Hindi. I grew up watching Spider-Man movies, and I have to say. He’s the only superhero character I’ve always wanted to play.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Tiger Shroff will be seen in the much-anticipated film Gunpath.
