Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out another feature that will allow users to send audio messages that can be played only once, WaBetaInfo reported.

According to the app tracking website, the messaging app is rolling out a new update, bringing its version to 2.23.7.8.

This feature, called Audio Messages, will only be played once opened for added privacy. It will be available in a future update as it is still under development.

WhatsApp already has a feature to send photos and videos that can only be viewed once. This time, the app is working on audio messages.

The app tracking website said “Audio messages sent using this mode will only be playable once. As with the one-time view of photos and videos, audio messages sent as one-time views cannot be stored, forwarded or recorded for added privacy,” the app tracking website said. .

This feature will provide its users with better privacy and communication security as the audio message will only be allowed to play once, reducing the risk of someone else listening or accessing it later.

This feature will help protect sensitive and confidential information sent from one person to another through the messaging app.
