Several social media users, including actors Farhan Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui, took to Twitter to criticize Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Senator Dr. Afnanullah Khan for his derogatory and “rude” remarks against actor Mahira Khan and Maruf. Targeted. Satirist Anwar Maqsood.
The insulting remarks came a day after the Humsafar starlet revealed her support for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan during an event organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi on Sunday.
While discussing politics, Maqsood asks Mahira which political party she supports.
The starlet took the mic and said: “There was a film released recently.”

This statement seems to have infuriated Mahira to Dr Afnan who condemned her and the host on the microblogging platform.
The senator tweeted: “Mahira Khan has mental health issues and Anwar Maqsood is drunk at this stage of his life. The curse of the people is on these two shameless characters. Books can be written on Mahira Khan’s character. She also flatters Indian actors for money. And Anwar Maqsood is a cursed character full of prejudice.

As the senator’s tweet went viral, the Twitterati slammed him for attacking two of Pakistan’s leading stars and intellectuals.
Farhan Saeed and Adnan Siddiqui are among those who expressed their disappointment over the attack.
Farhan looked angry and tweeted: “This is the mentality that doesn’t allow #Pakistan to grow, this is what happens when someone just gives an opinion or has a political preference. They become personal so people stop giving their opinions.” Give. Senator? Zuban jahilon wali.”

Co-star Adnan Siddiqui also came out in defense of the Bol star, writing: “Such disgraceful behavior from a public figure is unacceptable. The disrespect meted out to Anwar Maqsood Sahib and Mahira Khan reflects their character, not the icons who were insulted.
