Rawalpindi: Chief of General Staff (CGS) UK Army General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardley Monrad Sanders on Wednesday, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Chief of Army Staff (COA) S) Met General Syed Asim Munir. At GHQ, the CGSU Army laid wreaths at the martyrs’ memorial. Armed troops of Pakistan Army presented a guard of honor to the distinguished guest.
Regional security issues and issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. The visiting dignitaries acknowledged the sacrifices and achievements of the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism and efforts for peace and stability in the region.
