WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is introducing new features and making the application easier for its users to use.
WaBetaInfo reported on Friday that the instant messaging app is working on a block shortcut update right inside the notification bar. Earlier, it announced the option to block contacts in the chat list itself. This time the app has come up with a shortcut for the users.
The new feature will allow users to block someone’s message on their phone when it is notified.

The app tracking website said, “WhatsApp plans to introduce a block shortcut within notifications but not always: The block shortcut only appears when you receive a message from unknown and untrusted contacts.” ” said the app tracking website.
This feature is limited to untrusted contacts as users may accidentally tap on the block option while replying to someone via notification, accidentally blocking their trusted contacts.
The new feature will be available to users in a future update of the app.
Media with captions
Earlier this week, the tracking app announced that WhatsApp is rolling out a new update that will let users know about the ability to forward media with captions.
The app tracking website said the feature will allow users to share any type of media — photos, videos, GIFs and documents — with captions intact.
“A warning appears when a document with an image, video, GIF, or caption is forwarded,” it said.
Additionally, WhatsApp wants to ensure that its users are aware of the new feature by offering the ability to remove captions from media during the forwarding process.
This feature is available for those who install the latest update of the app.
